Please join us for these presentations featuring a diverse group of speakers who will share information about their faiths. Our goal is to help people of any faith to understand more about how other people worship and how their faith informs their daily lives.

About the Speaker: I am Tyler Werne. I work as an engineer and am an Orthodox Christian. I teach classes at St. George and I run its library. The classes I run at St. George are catechisms and Sunday School.

About the Speaker: My family has been a member of Congregation Albert since 1955. I trained to be an archeologist and got my doctorate in anthropology from the University of Arizona in 1977. Since 1992, I have been the founder and president of Bronitsky and Associates, a firm which works with Indigenous peoples around the world in the performing arts.

My journey has been shaped by diverse experiences that have fostered my resilience and creativity. My background includes being a Veterinarian, Pharmacist, Sandwich artist & Hotelier. Outside of work, I enjoy playing harmonium, singing and devotional practices. I’m attached to Hindu Temple Society of NM and follow 5th Original Jagadguru Sri Kripalu Ji Maharaj’s teachings.

I’ve been a Seventh-day Adventist pastor for over 35 years serving in many states – including confusion, bewildered and blessed! I’m overjoyed to be married to my wife Maria, and so grateful for my daughter Hannah and son Noah! I love seeking to help people know that God is not Someone to be afraid of but Someone to be a friend of!

About the Speaker: I was born in Egypt and obtained my doctoral degree from the prestigious Durham University in the United Kingdom. With a passion for Islamic studies, I returned to Egypt to serve as an assistant professor at Al-Azhar University. I also served as an Imam at the Islamic Center of Little Rock, Arkansas, guiding and inspiring my community. Since 2021, I have served as Imam of the Islamic Center of NM, the largest mosque in the state. My work is guided by a deep sense of compassion, wisdom, and commitment to fostering harmony.

Topic: Religious Freedom and How to Effectively Influence Your Elected Leaders
About the Speaker: I was born and raised in Rio Rancho and elected to served 12 years in the NM House of Representatives in 2012, where I focused on tax reform, education, and strengthening opportunities for New Mexico families. I helped save the Lottery Scholarship, ensured teachers weren’t penalized for taking sick leave, and sponsored many bills that became law. Outside the Legislature, I’ve served in my church in roles ranging from Youth Pastor and Assistant to the Bishop, to Children’s Music Leader and Boy Scout Leader.
